Because I am making more sceneries for British Columbia, I thought of suggesting the same installation method as for my Québec Short Hops. Those who will install more then one of this group of sceneries, should consider this alternative short cut method.
It also has the big advantage that since I am using very often the same textures, they will not be duplicated on all the different scenery files.
If you prefer, you can still put the content of the texture folders in the main texture folder of Flight Simulator 9
Also, once the main scenery folder has been added to the library, you do not need to do it again each time you add a scenery since it is already listed and the new sceneries are only added to this same folder
(Note: the series of sceneries started from CFFA , CFFB, CFFC and up.....)
1= Make a folder named "BC Short Hops" (or whatever you like) wherever you normally install your sceneries like:
xxxxxxxFlight Simulator 9 / Addon Scenery
2= Make a sub folder named scenery
3= Make another sub folder named texture ( even if you place your textures in ther main texture folder, this then
emply folder must remain here or it won't work.)
You should then have: xxxxxxxxxFlight Simulator 9
/scenery
/texture
During the following, always overwrite if prompted.
4= Place all the contents of all the scenery folders in the new scenery folder you just created.
5= Place all the contents of all the texture folders in the new texture folder., or alternatively in the main texture folder of Flight Simulator 9
CAUTION, IF YOU ALREADY HAVE SOME OF THE ABOVE SCENERIES (PREVIOUS RELEASES)YOU MUST DELETE THE LISTING OF ALL THE TRANSFERRED SCENERIES FROM THE SCENERY LIBRARY.
THEN, you activate (add) the new scenery "BC Short Hops" in the scenery library.
From then on, you can add new scenery files in the respective folders and not have to add the new scenery to the scenery library since you already did this and all files are in the already listed folder.
